Gwinnett Online Campus Educator Named State Secondary Counselor of the Year

Two other Gwinnett County educators received titles at the Georgia School Counselor Association Annual State Conference last weekend.

The Georgia School Counselor Association Annual State Conference took place
last weekend.

The statewide organization of school counselors recognized three Gwinnett professionals for the work they do everyday guiding and supporting Gwinnett children.

Among the honorees is Robin Zorn of Mason Elementary in Duluth. She was selected as the State Elementary Counselor of the year and the first-ever State of Georgia Counselor of the Year, a new category.

Tinisha Parker, who is a counselor at Gwinnett Online Campus in the Norcross area, received the title of State Secondary Counselor of the Year. Dr. Paul Johnson, the assistant principal of Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee, was named the State Counseling Advocate of the Year.

Other educators such as District 5 Chairwoman Louise Radloff, GCPS Advisement and Counseling Director Dianne Thompson and GCPS Counseling Coordinator Demetria Williams joined the honorees at the annual event.
