has announced that its current assistant principal, Todd Marschke, will take over as its new head principal for the upcoming school year.
Marschke, who's been the assistant principal of the alternative school since 2009, is a member of the 2012 class of the district's Quality-Plus Leader Academy Aspiring Principal Program, according to a press release.
Marschke has been in the Gwinnett County Public School system since 1998. He first started as a science and math teacher for the gifted program at Crews Middle School in Lawrenceville, where he held the post until 2007. He then moved to Lanier Middle School to Buford to became the assistant principal for two years before moving to GIVE Center West.
GIVE Center West's current principal, Maryanne Grimes, will transfer to Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville.
