Learn About GAC's Arrowsmith Program

Greater Atlanta Christian School launched the program last year, which aims to assist students with mild learning disabilities.

will be hosting an event about Arrowsmith learning, its new program which aims to help students with mild learning disabilities.

Barbara Arrowsmith-Young, the founder of the program, will be on the GAC campus Wednesday to speak and answer questions on the program's exercises. Teachers also will be giving testimonials on how its exercises did last school year.

Growing up with a learning disability herself, Arrowsmith-Young realizes how difficult it is for certain students to accomplish routine learning tasks. Her program is being taught at four Atlanta-area schools, and she is the author of "The Woman Who Changed Her Brain: And Other Inspiring Stories of Pioneering Brain Transformation."
