New Teachers:

Jason Barnard - 9th Grade Bible Teacher
Question: What do you want your students to gain from having known you?
Answer: I want them to know that I truly love them and that we are serving an amazing God who wants to forgive them and use them to accomplish His will.

Jami Brown - 2nd Grade Teacher
Question: What do you enjoy most about teaching?
Answer: I enjoy really getting to know each child, finding out what motivates them to achieve, and the challenge of meeting each student's unique needs as a learner.Β  Watching a light bulb come on for a student is like magic! Also, I have a great time just listening to my students...they make me laugh and keep a smile on my face.

LaShandia Hill - Junior High Science Teacher
Question: Why did you choose to teach at GAC?
Answer: I was so impressed at the level of excellence and the fact that God's love was so evident at GAC when my familyl became a part of the GAC family three years ago.

Julie Varney - Junior High Language Arts, Science Teacher; Softball Coaching Staff
Question: How do you incorporate faith into your teaching?
Answer: I want to model Christ's example to students by being an example to them. I can't show the love of God without showing my students that same kind of grace, forgiveness, and love myself.

Megan (Dickerson) Wilson - Senior High Honors Geometry, Algebra 2 Teacher; Soccer Coaching Staff
Question: What motivated you to become a teacher?
Answer: My 8th grade math teacher inspired me to enjoy math and love learning. From that point on I wanted to also inspire others. I love working with young people, and math is my venue to do so.
