Former GAC, UGA Running Back Released After Alleged Assault

Rookie running back Caleb King was released from jail without any charges.

Caleb King, a rookie running back for the Minnesota Vikings and former player for and , was released from jail Tuesday after being locked up for alleged assaulting a man, according to the Pioneer Press.

King, who was released by the Vikings team, does not have any charges against him.

under the suspicion of third-degree assault in Oak Grove, Minn. He allegedly beat a 22-year-old outside of a party last weekend, causing injury to his skull and nose.

Assistant Anoka County attorney Paul Young told the Pioneer Press that the case is still being reviewed, making it premature to issue charges.

By law, authorities could hold King in custody without charges only until noon Tuesday, according to the article.
