BOC Chairwoman Charlotte Nash Reads to Beaver Ridge Elementary Students

Beaver Ridge Elementary students has a special visitor last week for the annual "Read for the Record" event.

Gwinnett County Commission Chairwoman Charlotte Nash visited the school Oct. 3 to read to a group of kindergarten students as part of the 2013 "Read for the Record" event, an international campaign to encourage early literacy.

Pre-K through first grade students at Beaver Ridge Elementary and other Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) joined millions of other students from around the world to read "Otis" by New York Times best-selling author Loren Long.
