Alexis Cordero Named Norcross High Homecoming Queen

Cordero, who won by student vote, was recognized during Friday's halftime show.

At last Friday's football game, Alexis Cordero, along with Cornelia Torres-Hamlin and Maggie Tipton enjoyed a moment in the limelight during the half-time homecoming festivities.

Cordero, pictured wearing a white sash and crown, was selected by a vote of the student body as the homecoming queen, Torres-Hamlin and Tipton, served as the queen's court.

All three are friends and are on the varsity cheerleading team. Cordero, from Peachtree Corners, is a senior this year. Torres-Hamlin is a sophomore and Tipton, a junior, both are from Norcross.

The homecoming court and queen are selected by the student body. The process includes three rounds of voting during the weeks leading up to homecoming to select the court and the queen.
