2013 Gwinnett Online Campus Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Hannah Middlebrooks and Allie Cummins have been named the Norcross school's top students.

Gwinnett Public Schools recently released the names of the valedictorian and salutatorian from the Gwinnett Online Campus.

The title of valedictorian is typically given to the student with the highest GPA, and salutatorian is given to the student with the second-highest GPA. Photos of the honorees are included with the story.

Hannah Middlebrooks, daughter of Ron and Robin Middlebrooks, plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall with an undecided major. Her career goals is to become a pediatrician, but is undecided.

She is the recipient of a $500 Maxxis Organization scholarship. She's also the secretary of the French National Honor Society.

Salutatorian:

Allie Cummins, daughter of Jim and Nicole Cummins, plans to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology to major in chemical and biomolecular engineering. Her career goals are to work for the CDC and make a difference "in the lives of people who got the short end of the stick with the genes they were given."

She is the recipient of a $500 Maxxis Organization scholarship.

She was an honor student all throughout high school and tutored kids all throughout high school. She was given the honor of attending the United States Naval Academy’s sumer STEM program on a full scholarship. She received an academic award and letter for cheerleading, which she was also voted captain for during her sophomore year. She also participated in the school dance program during her freshman, sophomore and senior year.
