Keep Georgia Beautiful honors City of Norcross staffer.

City of Norcross code enforcement supervisor Philomena Robertson was awarded the Code Enforcement Officer of the Year award.

The award was given by Keep Georgia Beautiful, a state organization that "honors those whose ongoing efforts in community improvement, waste reduction, and/or litter prevention exemplify leadership in protecting Georgia’s environment."

“For the past several years, Ms. Robertson has organized the city's recycling events, coordinating local volunteers and recycling companies to attract hundreds of people from across the metro area,” according to a city news release. “As a result, several tons of recyclables have been collected on a regular basis…”
