Norcross Judge Will Head State Municipal Judicial Board

Kenneth Wickham elected President of Georgia Council of Municipal Court Judges.

A Norcross Judge is making his mark on the state level.

Kenneth Wickham was elected President of the Georgia Council of Municipal Court Judges (CMCJ) at the council's meeting in late June.

Wickham, who serves both as a municipal court judge in Dunwoody and as Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Norcross will start his term in June 2012, when he'll take over from current president Judge Rashida Oliver of East Point.

"I've been fortunate to have many great mentors and predecessors on the Council that have made this possible," Wickham said in an email Thursday.

Wickham has also held positions as District Representative, Secretary and Vice President positions with the council.Β

The Council is the governing and oversight body of all classes of courts in the State. As president, Wickham will have a voting seat on the Judicial Council of the State of Georgia, which covers all state courts in Georgia, from municipal courts to the Supreme Court.
