Norcross City Council Meeting Tonight

In addition to swearing-in ceremonies and recognitions, a special-use permit for a 5K with dogs and the city hall parking lot project are on the agenda for the council's first meeting of 2013.

The Norcross City Council will meet Monday, Jan. 7, for the first work session and meeting of the year.

Two topics are on the meeting's consent agenda: A special-use permit for the Petco Dogs in the Park 5K, and the parking lot project at city hall.

There will be a few notable swearing-in ceremonies and recognitions, too. Three Norcross Police officers will be sworn in, and Councilman David McLeroy and Mayor Pro Tem Andrew Hixson will be inaugurated.

Taking place in Norcross City Hall, the work session will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the regular meeting will proceed at 7 p.m. City hall is located at 65 Lawrenceville St. in downtown Norcross.
