New Schedule for City Council Meetings
When a meeting falls on a holiday, it will be made up on the following day, a Tuesday.
Citizens take note: The City Council decided to change the meeting make-up policy last week, at the suggestion of Mayor Bucky Johnson.
Starting with the first January meeting, when a City Council meeting falls on a holiday, the make-up day will be the following day, Tuesday.
Previously, the make-up day was one week later on a Monday, but this proved difficult because it pushed back work-policy sessions and caused back-ups.

The amendment to the Rules of Procedure was on the consent agenda at the Mon., Dec. 5 meeting of the Mayor and Council.
