National Weather Service Issues Tornado Watch

The National Weather Service's latest update reports that isolated tornados are a possibility by Monday afternoon and continuing into the evening along with heavy rains as Tropical Depression Lee moves from the Mississippi Valley into Georgia.

A Tornado Watch and Severe Thunderstorm Watch are in effect until 11 p.m. 

The service reports that rainfall could be heavy at times and with the extended period of dry weather the area has experienced this year, flooding could occur. "Any prolonged period of heavy rain will result in increased runoff and possible flooding on creeks and streams," reported the weather service.
