Last Chance: Drug Take Back Day

Get rid of unwanted and unused prescription drugs this Saturday for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

This Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, and the Norcross Police Department and the DEA are asking the community to take advantage of the service.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28, swing by Norcross City Hall to dispose of unwanted, expire and unused prescription drugs in a safe manner.

So this week, gather all those drugs that you and your family don't intend to use.

According to a statement from Norcross PD, the Partnership for a Drug Free America believe 2,500 teenagers use prescription drugs to get high for the first time. Studies have shown a majority of these drugs are obtained from family, friends and even the bathroom medicine cabinet.

The drug disposal is free of charge to the community and will take place at city hall, located at 65 Lawrenceville St. For more information, check out the Norcross PD Nixle page.
