Gwinnett Village CID Hosting Open House

Information will be provided on the "continuous flow" intersection planned for Buford Highway and Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

The Gwinnett Village CID invites the public to attend an open house at their offices to learn and provide feedback about an innovative new intersection design at Buford Highway and Jimmy Carter.

The information session will take place at the CID office at 5855 Jimmy Carter Boulevard on Tues., Aug. 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The planned enchancement is dubbed a "continuous flow" intersection. It improves the flow of traffic without the cost generally associated with a large construction project. The idea is that the left turn actually happens in advance of the intersection, eliminating the need for "hard lefts" across traffic.
