County Takes Over Norcross Water-Sewer System

The switch to Gwinnett officially took place Monday, May 13.

After the city of Norcross approved the intergovernmental agreement to sell its water and sewer system to Gwinnett County in April, the switch has finally begun.

Accounts from the city officially switched over to the county Monday (May 13) and is effective immediately, according to the city of Norcross website. Billing and customer service for all water and sewer accounts now have been turned over to Gwinnett.

In late April, the county had started trading out the city meters at businesses and residences with its own. Only half of the city's residents and businesses had their meters changed since the other half are already being serviced by the county.
