City Hall Returns to Old Office Hours

Business hours are now back to its original schedule of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After adding an hour to its regular schedule for three months, has changed its office hours back to the old time.

Starting June 1, the hours at city hall will revert back to being 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. This includes drive-thru, phone and walk-in hours.

The city stated through a Norcross Neighbors newsletter that one exception would be for utility due dates. On utility billing due dates and utility cutoff dates, the city's billing offices would be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Since March, office hours had been extended to 6 p.m. as a pilot program in conjunction with the Clean Air Campaign. The city sent out a statement that the change back to its old schedule is because of a lack of public activity during that last hour.

The city still plans to participate with the campaign through the telecommute program for exempt employees.
