Do You Want a Safer Neighborhood?

Enter Project 365 for a chance to revitalize your neighborhood for safety and beautification.

Do you wish for a safer neighborhood for you and your family? Here's your chance.

The Norcross Police Department Foundation is hosting a contest called Project 365 that will help with safety and beautification. Locals who enter can win a chance to work one-on-one with the foundation and Norcross PD to revitalize their neighborhood.

For a full year, the winner of the project will create and maintain the Norcross Police PACT (Police and Citizens Together) Program; beautify the neighborhood, whether it's through a community garden, landscaping or public art; and have a quarterly neighborhood cleanup campaign through Breathe-Green Gwinnett.

A few restrictions do apply. The neighborhood must be located within the Norcross city limits, and five homeowners must be willing to dedicate their time to Project 365.

The Norcross Project 365 winner will be announced Aug. 7 at this year's National Night Out in . The Norcross event is part of a nationwide program that's celebrating its 29th year promoting crime and drug prevention event.

The contest runs from June 11 to July 13, so get those entries in before it's too late. The winner will be selected by a committee formed by Norcross PD Foundation Board of Directors, with the assistance from the police department.
