Police say the incident happened behind a restaurant in unincorporated Norcross.

Updated Oct. 7, 2013: Sloan Roach, spokeswoman for Gwinnett County Public Schools, has confirmed that the three teen suspects arrested were Norcross High students at the time of their arrest on Oct. 3.

Gwinnett County police have arrested three suspects -- including two 16-year-olds -- for the attack and rape of a woman in Norcross earlier this week.

According to a press release from police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith, the suspects arrested are:

Victor Cruz-Ramirez, 16
Marvin Leonel Sanchez, 16
Kevin Dominguez, 18

They are charged with rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated battery, kidnapping, and false imprisonment. Police took the suspects -- who all were Norcross High School students -- into custody on Thursday, Oct. 3.

The juveniles are being held at the Gwinnett Regional Youth Detention Center, though they have been charged as adults. Dominguez is being held at Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.

Each also have immigration holds.

Gwinnett County police initially responded to a report of a rape in the early morning hours of Sept. 28. Officers determined the incident happened behind a restaurant at 6200 Buford Highway, in unincorporated Norcross.

The female victim told police that she met the three suspects earlier in the evening on Sept. 27 at a restaurant. And, that she went outside to smoke a cigarette with them.

The press release then states:

"The three suspects attacked the victim and dragged her into some bushes behind the restaurant. They beat the victim with their fists and took turns sexually assaulting her.Β

"Following the assault the suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim eventually made her way to an apartment complex adjacent to the restaurant where residents provided help and called police.

"When officers arrived they observed multiple visible injuries on the victim, including extensive bruising, lacerations and swelling. She was transported to a local hospital and sexual assault center for evaluation."Β
