Three Children Hit By Vehicle on Graves Road

Thursday evening a southbound motorist in the unincorporated Norcross area struck the children as they were crossing the road. One remains hospitalized.

On Thursday evening three children were struck by a vehicle while crossing Graves Road near West National Circle in the unincorporated area of Norcross.

According to Gwinnett Police, the children, ages 12, 5 and 2, were struck around 8:40 p.m. by an eastbound vehicle after attempting to cross the street from a trip to a local grocery store.

"All three children were transported by Gwinnett County EMS personnel to Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta," according to Gwinnett Police spokesman Sgt. R. D. Work.

Work said "two of the children (one male aged 2 and one female aged 12) have been released from Scottish Rite. The third child (male aged 5) is still in the hospital."

Gwinnett Police said that no charges have been brought against the driver at this time.
