Tattoo Photos Released to Help ID Dead Man

Police need help in finding the identity of a man found behind a Peachtree Corners business Monday.

Gwinnett Police still have not determined the cause of death or the identify the man found dead in Peachtree Corners' Technology Park on Monday.

Police discovered the man's body in the early morning hours Monday, Aug. 13, after receiving a call of a suspicious person sleeping or possibly dead behind the office building at 25 Technology Parkway South.

During the initial investigation, the homicide unit was called in to investigate after officers discovered several head injuries on the body of the white male.

Police also found two tattoos on the man's body but had withheld any information on the tattoos during the investigation.

In an effort to help ID the man, police have now released images of two tattoos in hopes that someone will come forward to ID the body.

"The homicide unit has been unable to determine the identity of the deceased person," said Cpl. Edwin Ritter, spokesman for Gwinnett County Police Department.Β 

"In light of this, detectives have decided to release images of the tattoos. The tribal tattoo was on the deceased's upper arm. We are not disclosing the location of the Mickey Mouse tattoo at this time."

Ritter said that the man "did not have in his possession any identification or any artifacts leading to his identity." He is described as a large frame white male approximately 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-2 and weighing approximately 200 pounds.

An autopsy was "inconclusive regarding the cause of death," said Ritter. Police are waiting for the results of a toxicology test which could take several weeks before the results are available.
