The victim of a Norcross home invasion reported that one of the suspects put a gun against her infant's head during his demands for money.
According to the Norcross Police report, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. last Saturday, Dec. 29, on the 5900 block of Western Hills Drive near North Norcross Tucker Road and Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Police arrived on scene to three women and one baby in hysterics in the living room.
The woman with the infant told police that she was in the back bedroom when she heard someone knocking at the front door. After a few knocks, the front door was forced opened, causing one side of the door trim to break off, and three men with guns came into the home.
While two of the men stayed in the living room, the third man came into her bedroom, grabbed her baby by the arm and pointed a gun at the infant's head, she said.
The man demanded money from her, but she told him that she didn't have any money. The main suspect then forced entry into the other bedrooms.
One of the victims said the man emptied out her purse that had been on her bed. From the bag, he took $400 and a gold ring with a white stone in it. He ransacked the rest of the room, but nothing else was reported stolen.
The third woman said the man went into her room as she dialed 911. He simply grabbed the phone, put it in her pocket, and the suspects left.
The victims told police that the three men were all black, had guns and wore black masks, black shirts and black pants. Pictures were taken of the crime scene, and a neighbor was able to supply police with video surveillance of the three men.
