Police: Man Tells Woman He's Gotten Away With Rape

A Norcross woman reported to police last month that she'd received threatening and harassing text messages from a man who tried to rape her.

According to the Norcross Police report, the local woman told authorities he recently tried to rape her at his residence in Atlanta after they went on three dates together. She said she didn't report the crime the night it happened because she was afraid of the man.

After the attempted incident, the man started sending her text messages stating that he had a Glock 9mm ready to use if she or anyone else came to his house to start anything. He even told her that he had raped a woman before and had gotten away with it because he has a lot of money, the report says.

According to records from the Fulton County Sheriff's Department, the same man was arrested last June on charges of simple battery, sexual battery, false report of a crime and criminal attempt to commit rape. He was released on a $29,000 bond.
