Buford Highway Train Victim Identified

Devonn Graham, 37, of Norcross, was hit by a train Monday near Norcross. The medical examiner has ruled his death as an accident.

The identity of the man who was struck and killed by a Norfolk Southern train off Buford Highway on Monday afternoon has been released.

The victim was Devonn Graham, a 37-year-old man from Norcross, said Chief Investigator Ted Bailey with the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner's office.

The cause of death was "blunt force trama," which was the result of being struck by the train, said Bailey. "His death has been ruled as accidental."

Police had speculated that Graham may have intentionally remained on the train tracks after repeated warnings from the train's conductor, but Bailey ruled out suicide.

"There was nothing to suggest there was any deliberate action by the man to end his life," said Bailed. He said Graham was formerly from Ohio.
