Pedestrian Killed on Peachtree Industrial Blvd
According to news reports, part of the interstate was closed during the morning rush--but is now reopened.
A man walking along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, just south of Norcross in Doraville, was fatally hit by a tractor trailer and several other vehicles, according to multiple news reports.
The man was walking in the northbound lane, just north of I-285 and was struck just after 5 a.m. Reports say that the highway was not reopened until after 9 a.m.
Doraville Police investigators told the AJC that they are trying to figure out why a pedestrian would be walking on this busy part of the highway, which is forbidden and has no sidewalks.
