Officers Fatally Shoot Lilburn Man Armed With BB Gun

Victor Charles Le, 20, was killed by a Gwinnett police officer after a 911 call indicated an armed man was threatening to commit a robbery.

Police have identified the man killed in an as Victor Charles Le, 20, ofΒ 2850 Southgate Drive in unincorporated Lilburn.

LeΒ was pronounced dead at the scene of a nearby residence after Gwinnett County officers responded to a call on Sept. 12. The 911 call reported a male armed with a gun, threatening to commit a robbery. WSB has reported the incident involved a domestic argument. The gun in Le's possession was later identified as a black bb gun.

Police reports from the GCPD state that as an officer approached the residence, Le was standing in the driveaway armed with a handgun. The officer on the scene pulled his handgun and gave Le verbal commands to drop his weapon.

According to police, Le ignored the orders and began to approach the officer with the gun pointed in his direction. The officer fired one shot that struck the suspect in the chest.
