Obsessive Woman Steals Man's Tax Information, Blackmails Wife for Money

Inside the Police Reports: The wife told Norcross Police that the suspect also has been harassing her through text messages and phone calls for the past two months.

An obsessive woman has stolen a man's tax information and is wanting money to return the information to him, according to the man's wife.

The Norcross Police report states that an officer spoke with the wife, 32, last week. She told police that she's been receiving harassing text messages and phone calls for two months from a woman who's obsessed with her husband.

Aside from the texts and calls, the suspect apparently called the IRS to fraudulently get the husband's tax information by pretending to be the wife, too. The other woman has demanded money from the wife in return for the information, according to the report.

The victim said she already contacted the IRS to start an investigation. She also directed police to a hotel in Norcross that she believed the suspect was currently staying at, but the manager of the hotel told police that she was not living there.

The officer advised the victim on how to obtain a temporary protection order with Gwinnett County. The report states that there is no further police action at this time.
