Norcross Police Claim No Affiliation with Alarm Salesman

Police say they do not endorse any security system, despite the claims of some salesmen around town.

The Norcross Police Department has issued an alert about individuals in the Norcross area who are selling security systems under the false pretense of being affiliated with the City.

According to an alert issued by Captain Brian V. Harr, the individuals wear nametags with the Norcross “A Place to Imagine” logo on them. The Nixle alert says that they  the individuals claim either affiliation or endorsement from the Norcross Police Department.

Arlene Beckles saw the individual or individuals in her Creekside Park neighborhood, so she sent an email blast out to her neighbors. She says some neighbors returned the email, letting her know that the salesmen had engaged in some suspicious activities--and that they claimed affiliation with the city police department.
