"After completing the Citizens Police Academy Training, residents graduate with a wealth of knowledge and training, and we need them now more than ever," said Arlene Beckles, presdident of the foundation. "We have several opportunities to partner with other public safety agencies to do great things in the community and mostly to assist the officers here in Norcross."

Beckles expressed that the more connections they have with different organizations, the better educated the community can be about public safety. For example, she said that Norcross Police Chief Warren Summers spoke to her about how more people need to know about the move over law, which requires drivers to change lanes for law enforcement officers.
