Norcross PD Arrests Man for Robbery, Assault
A man is arrested for allegedly cutting his neighbor and stealing his cell phone last month after accusing the neighbor of burglarizing his property.
A man was arrested for allegedly cutting his neighbor and stealing his cell phone last month after accusing the neighbor of burglarizing his property.
The incident occurred Dec. 29 around 5 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Meadowood Commons Drive in the City of Norcross.
According to the police report, the neighbor, a 19-year-old man, said the suspect stopped him in the parking lot. Having been burglarized recently, the man believed his neighbor was either responsible for it or knew who did it.

The 19-year-old told Norcross Police that the man had asked him several times to either return the items or die.
When the neighbor was stopped in the parking lot that afternoon, the suspect had a knife with him. Placing a knife to the victim's stomach and taking his cell phone, the suspect demanded information about the stolen property.

The knife caused a 1-inch injury above his navel.
The victim gave a description of the man's vehicle, a grey or silver Nissan with a damaged right rear passenger door, and nearby officers were able to spot and flag him down.
Officers found the 19-year-old's cell phone in the front passenger seat. When asked whose phone it was, the suspect said he was trying to call the kid who owned the phone.
Two knives matching the victim's description were also found with the suspect.
The suspect was arrested for aggravated assault and armed robbery.
