A pizza delivery man was allegedly robbed while dropping off a food order at Las Colinas Apartments last weekend.

Two Norcross men were arrested early Sunday for allegedly robbing a Domino's Pizza delivery man.

Dasheme Slater and Jabari Williams, both of Norcross, have been arrested and charged with theft by receiving and armed robbery, according to the Gwinnett County docket book.

He told police that no one answered when he knocked on the customer's apartment door. He started walking away, but then two men wearing ski masks and dark clothing came up to him, he said.

One of the suspects allegedly placed a gun next to the victim's head and told him not to move. The other man took the pizza, cinnamon sticks, wings and 2-liter Sprite, in addition to the money in the delivery man's pockets, says the report.

They told him to stay until they left running on foot, and the victim went back to Domino's where he called police.

Police contacted the phone number that was used to place the order, but the owner of the phone assured that he did not order any pizza. He told police that he lent his phone to someone in the apartment complex, though.

Officers searched the 1600 building where the robbery allegedly occurred. Someone told police during the investigation that he had just seen two people with pizzas and ski masks running near building 900.

When police approached the only apartment in building 900 that appeared to be currently occupied, it took three attempts for someone to answer the door.

In addition to the stall of opening the door, the police report states many instances of suspicion: Police heard moving noises coming from inside the apartment during their attempts to make contact; the woman who answered the door, also the mother of one of the suspects, was hesitant when police asked her if they had any pizza and if they had ordered any pizza; an officer noticed a bag with a Domino's logo on it inside the apartment; and two men, Slater and Williams, were walking around inside the apartment and they matched the suspects' descriptions given by the victim.

Norcross PD were able to obtain a search warrant that night, says the report. They went into the bedroom of one of the men and found two ski masks hidden under the mattress, a black airsoft pistol and most of the food matching the Domino's delivery order, with the receipt attached.

According to the Gwinnett County Docket Book, Slater and Williams were arrested and charged with theft by receiving and armed robbery. They were admitted into the county detention center around 4 a.m. Sunday.
