Norcross Man Wanted in Forgery Scheme, Two Falcons Players Victims

Police say a Norcross man has tried to forge rent checks from both current player Julio Jones and former player Christopher Owens.

Gwinnett County police are looking for Norcross man they say is responsible for forging checks in the names of a current and former Falcons player.

The suspect is 29-year-old Corey Dajohn Moody.

Officials believe the man altered rent checks from wide receiver Julio Jones and former cornerback Christopher Owens, and then tried to deposit or cash them, according to the AJC.

In one case, police say the suspect successfully cashed a fraudulent check of more than $1,200. Both Jones and Owens live at the Preserve at Mill Creek in Buford, the AJC also reported.

There is a warrant for Moody's arrest.

Jones has made other news recently. On May 21, a retaining wall collapsed on a worker helping to construct a new home for the player.
