Norcross Man Accused of Pulling Gun on Ex-Girlfriend in Front of Kids

According to a police report, Irving John Hall threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend after she told him he could not return to her Lawrenceville home. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

With a gun in hand, an ex-boyfriend threatened to kill a woman in front of her kids at their Lawrenceville home.

According to the Gwinnett County Police report, the woman, who's in her early 30s, called police in regards to her ex-boyfriend coming to her home and threatening her with a gun Jan. 20. She told the officer that they had been dating for three years, but she broke up with him five months ago.

Her ex, Norcross resident Irving John Hall, came into the home that afternoon after her brother let him in. The former flame approached her in the kitchen and, and after Hall became belligerent and aggressive, she escorted him out the door.

Once he was outside, she made it clear that she didn't want him to return, which angered him. So Hall kicked in the door and grabbed her left arm, leaving her bruised, she told police.

Hall's two brothers came and pulled him off the victim and escorted him back outside, she said.

After she told him again that he was not welcome back, Hall allegedly ran up to his car, grabbed a gun, and charged toward the victim, with the gun pointed at her.

She asked him if he was going to kill her in front of her three kids, who range from 7 to 17. He replied by calling her a name and screaming, "I'm going to kill you!"

He then got back into his car with his brothers and left the scene.

While the officer on scene wasn't able to make contact with the suspect, Hall was later located and arrested by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office on Jan. 24.

In addition to aggravated assault, simple battery, criminal trespassing and cruelty to children in the third degree, his charges include giving a false name or information, fleeing or eluding from police, obstruction of law officer, speeding, reckless driving, and at least 11 other traffic-related charges.
