Updated: Norcross Man Arrested for Child Sex Trafficking

Man allegedly arranged for an underaged girl to be in his possession for one year.

Carl Fredrik Skow of Norcross has been arrested for sex trafficking of a child. He made arrangements for an underage person to be in his custody for a year, according to John Bankhead, Public Affairs Director for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. 

Officials were able to make the arrest after a two-month operation, according to the GBI.

Skow, who is 33 years old, lives on the 500 block of Olde Mill Lane in Norcross. He is employed as an engineer at Cox Enterprises. He is now in custody at a federal holding facility in Atlanta, according to Bankhead. 

The GBI’s new Human Trafficking Unit and the Sandy Springs Police Department assisted U.S. Immigration and Customs to make the arrest. This is the first arrest that the new unit has been involved in, according to Bankhead.

The Human Trafficking Unit began operations on July 1 with funding from a U.S. Department of Justice grant. Legislation for the unit was passed by the Georgia General Assembly and signed by Gov. Nathan Deal to strengthen human trafficking laws in the state, according to a GBI press release.
