Man Shot in Apparent Home Invasion

Police say two men forced their way into a Summertown Drive home in Norcross.

Norcross Police say a local man was shot during an apparent home invasion overnight near Mitchell Road.

According to police spokesman Capt. Brian Harr in a news release, two armed men barged into a residence on the 1900 block of Summertown Drive at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday (June 2) and made demands.

One of the suspects allegedly shot the homeowner in the lower back. He was treated at a local hospital and released.

The suspects were described as follows: The first suspect was a black male, 6'2" with a thin build, and wearing all black and sunglasses. The second man was 5'8" with a slim build and wearing all dark clothing. The victim was unsure of his race.
