Man Arrested in SWAT Standoff May Be Serial Rapist

A man who was arrested last week after barricading himself in a Norcross apartment is being investigated for two other rape incidents.

A man who was arrested for aggravated sexual battery last week in Norcross may be the suspect for two other rape incidents, according to 11Alive.

Larry Anthony Davis is being looked at in cases reported at Las Palmas apartments and Bristol Court apartments on March 20 and March 18, 11Alive reported.

Both incidents took place in unincorporated Norcross.

"Immediately it came to mind that we had a suspect who had committed sexual assaults in the same area using sort of the same method of operation," Cpl. Jake Smith told 11Alive.

The three incidents share similarities, including the fact that they all occurred in apartment complexes.

"The violent nature, the hour (they occurred), I believe the suspect was masked in at least two of the three incidents if not all three," Cpl. Smith said to 11Alive. He added that investigators have DNA evidence from the two rapes in Gwinnett County that can be compared to Davis' DNA.

11Alive also reported that the suspect is a registered sex offender in Ohio. Davis is wanted there for violating his parole, the article says, because he did not register a new address.

According to a press release by Capt. Brian Harr of Norcross PD, Davis last Wednesday, March 28, after injuring the woman and threatening a Norcross officer.

He was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery, in addition to other charges.
