Lake Lanier Search Resumes Monday for Missing Boater

Jeff Nause may be an accidental drowning victim after the incident Saturday.

Authorities and perhaps family members will resume searching Monday (Aug. 20) on Lake Lanier for the Atlanta man who still is missing after a boating incident early Saturday.

WSB-TV reported that search teams ended their efforts Sunday afternoon because of weather and boat traffic. They are seeking Jeff Nause, 44, a Georgia Tech graduate and CEO of a semiconductor company. Nause jumped off a boat about 12:30 a.m. Saturday near Three Sisters Island, according to reports.

Authorities say alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
