A Norcross-area man claims that someone took $1,200 from him while he was sleeping on a trip from Virginia.

According to the Gwinnett County Police report, the 24-year-old told police that he believes the incident occurred Oct. 20. While on a trip with his sister and the suspect from Virginia, he went to sleep that Saturday with $1,200 in his pocket.

He woke up the next morning and the money was gone, he said. He believes the suspect brought people to the apartment while he was sleeping and they would steal the money.
