Home Invasion Reported in Mitchell Road Neighborhood

A man living off Marshes Glenn Drive said three masked men came into his home on a Sunday night.

A man living in a Mitchell Road neighborhood was the victim of an alleged home invasion last month.

According to the police report, the incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on a Sunday in late April. The man, residing on the 1900 block of Marshes Glenn Drive, told Norcross Police that he had been sleeping when he heard his door being forced opened.

The victim said a man entered the home and pointed a handgun at the homeowner. He demanded him to lay down on the floor, and another man came in to tie the victim's hands with a shoelace. The victim's head was also covered with a shirt.

The first suspect asked the victim where the drugs were, to which the homeowner said he didn't know of any drugs.

The victim told police that he could hear several other people moving throughout his home in an attempt to find money, jewelry and other valuables. At one point, the victim could hear the suspect on the phone asking if they should kill him.

The suspects decided to leave after finding nothing of interest.

Police took photographs of the home, and a tambourine that the suspect allegedly handled was placed into evidence.

The victim described the first suspect as a dark-skinned Hispanic male between 19 and 23, weighing about 150 pounds and around 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. Also, the handgun he had was a black semi-automatic firearm.
