Hit-and-Run Victim Void of Confirmed Identity, Police Need Public's Help

Police have very little information on the victim, but he was carrying a low-quality identification photo when struck on S. Norcross-Tucker Road.

A pedestrian hit in unincorporated Norcross earlier this week has died from his injuries, and Gwinnett County police need the public's help in identifying him.

According to a press release, the man died Aug. 20 at a local hospital. Police deemed him at fault, and the driver that hit him was not charged.

Despite nearly a week of investigation, however, police have not been able to confirm the victim's name.

"His name may be Javier Antonio Castro Gonzalez," police said.Β
