Local Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested in N.C.

A suspect wanted in a Norcross-area hit-and-run was arrested in Charlotte, N.C.

A suspect wanted in a Norcross-area hit-and-run was arrested Wednesday in Charlotte, N.C., according to WSBTV Channel 2.

Miguel Sanchez-Cruz, 40, was wanted by Gwinnett County police for felony hit-and-run charges in unincorporated Norcross from August 2011.

Sanchez-Cruz had hit a man who was helping a stranded driver push a vehicle in a gas station parking lot at Brook Hollow Parkway and Center Way.

Sanchez-Cruz fled, and the victim ended up losing part of his left leg, according to WSBTV.

Ever since the incident, Sanchez-Graves had been spending seven months on the run. U.S. Marshals arrested the man April 4 in Charlotte.

His three brothers also were arrested in Gwinnett County after they allegedly helped their brother hide, says the WSBTV report.
