Former GAC, UGA Running Back Arrested on Suspicion of Assault

Caleb King, now playing for Minnesota, is accused of beating another man outside a birthday party.

Caleb King, a former football star for and Parkview High, has been arrested for suspicion of beating another man, according to an Associated Press report on the Gwinnett Daily Post.

The article states that King, who is signed as a rookie free agent for the Minnesota Vikings, has been jailed but not charged for the incident.

King is accused of punching the victim, 22, repeatedly and throwing him headfirst to the ground outside a birthday party, according to the AP article.

The man was hospitalized with skull and facial fractures, Anoka County Sheriff's Cmdr. Paul Sommer told AP. He added that the victim had cuts that required more than 50 stitches and may have a serious head injury.

King also played for the University of Georgia but was ruled for the team last fall, according to a press release.

King was a star running back for Parkview his sophomore and junior seasons, but he transferred to Greater Atlanta Christian Schools before his senior year.
