Fire Destroys Home in Norcross Area

A family of three have been displaced in unincorporated Norcross.

A home was destroyed in a fire Sunday in unincorporated Norcross, according to Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services.

Neighbors and a passerby reported seeing flames coming from the home, located on the 1600 block of Auden Lane near Graves Road, around 1:09 p.m.

Firefighters arrived shortly after but could only fight the fire from the outside due to the intense blaze and partial roof collapse.

Because of the fire, the single-story residence is unrepairable. Its residents, one adult and two children, were not at home during the fire, and are currently being assisted by neighbors and friends.

The fire appears to have originated in the kitchen area, but the exact cause is currently undetermined. No foul play was suspected.
