Update: Missing Norcross Man Found

Johnny Lee Fortson, who suffers from a mental illness, was reported missing Sunday.

Update, July 9, 9:45 a.m.

The Norcross Police Department sent out a Nixle alert at 9:37 a.m. Monday stating that Johnny Lee Fortson has been located.

He was found unharmed, according to the alert.

The Norcross Police Department is asking the public for their assistance in locating a missing endangered adult.

Johnny Lee Fortson, 44, was last seen Saturday, July 7, on the 600 block of Glochester Place in Norcross. He was visiting the residence and left sometime between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., according to a Nixle alert.

Fortson is a black male who is 5'9" and 155 pounds. He was wearing a red and white tank top, tan pants and tan Nike tennis shoes. He was also clean-shaved and has short gray hair.

Fortson suffers from a mental illness and is also diabetic. He is in need of medication, according to the alert.

Anyone with information about Fortson is asked to call 911 or Norcross Police at 770-448-2111.
