Chemical Spill Shuts Down I-85 Ramp at Jimmy Carter

A chemical spill on the I-85 Northbound ramp from Jimmy Carter Boulevard has completely shut down the ramp Thursday, according to police.

Gwinnett police say a driver on I-85 North called police due to a liquid leaking onto his car from a tractor-trailer.

Both vehicles pulled onto the ramp, and police, fire and hazmat units are now on the scene to assess the situation.
