Arson Blamed for House Fire in Norcross

Fire Investigators have determined that a fire in a vacant home in unincorporated Norcross Saturday night was intentionally set. The Georgia Arson Control, Inc. is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for arson.

Firefighters responded to a call from neighbors Saturday night at 8:05 p.m. to the 6000 block of Kay Drive, NW located near Singleton Road. Firefighters found the home filled with smoke and a fire in one of the bedrooms.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The home is managed by a rental company, the property owners live out of town.

Fire Investigators have ruled arson as the cause but no further information will be provided while the incident is under investigation said Capt. Tommy Rutledge, spokesperson for Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services.
