Another Norcross Storage Facility Burglarized

After multiple storage units at CubeSmart in Norcross were reportedly broken into in late April, the city saw another slew of similar burglaries this month. 

According to Norcross Police reports, six units were broken into last week at All South Mini Storage, located at 2991 Cole Ct. The break-ins occurred some time between May 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. May 15.

The manager told police that she was showing a prospective renter around the storage facility when she came across the tampered units. They had their locks cut off and were ransacked, the officer wrote in the report.

Many of the victims told police that they were not able to come out to their storage units that day and report what had been stolen. Of the victims who were able to speak with police, two didn't see anything missing.

Only one victim reported items taken, which were a $1,200 Honda Outboard motor from 2001 and a $150 Keystone dehumidifier.

A man living on the property told authorities that he observed a gray two-toned pickup truck moving items out of one of the units at 3:30 p.m. May 14, the day the facility was closed. He later saw the same car parked outside the units that were later found burglarized.

He described the suspects as being two black males. However, the manager strongly felt that the owners of the first unit from 3:30 p.m. could be the suspects, even though the owners were a man and a woman. The couple phoned into the facility and said that they had moved all of their items out of the unit that day.
