In the incident, which took place in April, the 25-year-old victim told police that he was hit by a car after he leaped from his own moving vehicle, which had been hijacked by two men.

According to the police report, the victim was planning to extend some of his cell phone business with one of the suspects. The suspect called him and asked to meet so they could work together.

They met in the victim's Chevy Impala outside an AT&T store in the Kroger shopping center off Singleton Road unincorporated Norcross. The victim told the suspect to go inside the store and buy some iPhones so that the victim could buy them back from the suspect.

The victim told police that the suspect went into the store and returned a few minutes later without any phones. When he got back into the car, the suspect allegedly drew a pistol. The victim drew his own pistol, but at the same time, his door opened and the second suspect grabbed the gun and forced the victim into the backseat. The second suspect began to drive from the scene.

Complying with the suspects' demands, the victim gave up his iPhone and $3,000 in cash.

When the car approached the Dawson Boulevard and Seasons Parkway area, the suspects allegedly made the decision to kill him, which prompted the victim to escape through the car's trunk while it was still in motion.

According to the driver of a Lexus RX350, which had been traveling behind the Impala, her car hit the victim as soon as he exited the trunk.

He was conscious and talking at the incident scene before he was transported to the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. While at the hospital, the victim told police that did not remember the impact of the car, but he remembered hearing the suspect's gun go off.
