White Chocolate Strawberry Pie

There is nothing better than fresh strawberries on top of a white chocolate pie!

White Chocolate Strawberry Pie

Back in 1996, I saw an ad for Pillsbury pie crusts in the paper and it had a recipe for White Chocolate Berry Pie using Baker’s Premium white chocolate. It has been a family favorite ever since so I thought I would share it with you. It makes a lovely pie especially for Mother’s Day. You can use any kind of berry but I like the strawberry best because it makes the prettiest presentation.

2 Tablespoons of milk

4 oz. cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon of orange zest

1 cup of whipping cream, whipped

2 cups of sliced strawberries

Prepare and bake the pie crust according to package directions. Cool completely.

Microwave 4 squares of the white chocolate and milk for about 1 minute or until almost melted. Stir until melted.

Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and orange zest in a small bowl until smooth. Beat in the white chocolate mixture.

Fold whipped cream into mixture. Spread in the bottom of cooled pie crust. Top with sliced strawberries. Place remaining square of chocolate in a small plastic bag and microwave for about 30 seconds or until soft. Snip a small piece of the corner of the bag off. Squeeze chocolate out of the open corner and drizzle over the strawberries. Refrigerate for one hour and serve. Keep leftovers refrigerated.
