Greek Layered Dip
With Memorial Day weekend coming up, I thought I would share with you a family favorite - The Greek Layered Dip. It’s a great recipe for a large crowd. Every time I make this I get asked for the recipe. There are thousands of Greek layered dip recipes on the web but this one is my favorite. It’s full of fresh and flavorful ingredients just perfect for warm weather entertaining.
Pita Crisp

3 Pita – split in half then cut each half into 8 wedges
Olive oil

2 Garlic cloves, finely minced
Freshly ground black pepper
Sea Salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Paint both sides of the pita wedges with olive oil. Spread the wedges out onto 2 large rimmed baking sheets. Sprinkle the wedges with the garlic, pepper & salt. Bake until golden brown, about 7-9 minutes. Cool completely and store in a large Ziploc bag.
Greek Layered Dip
8 oz. of chive onion flavored cream cheese, softened
8 oz. of roasted red pepper hummus
1 large cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped into ½” cubes
3 Roma tomatoes, chopped
2.25 oz can of sliced black olives, drained
4 oz. of feta cheese, crumbled
¼ cup of chopped green onions
½ teaspoon of dried marjoram
Drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
On a large platter using the back of a large spoon spread out the cream cheese. Next spread the hummus over the cream cheese. Layer the cucumber, then the tomatoes, then the olives, then the feta, then the green onions and finally top with the dried marjoram and drizzle with the olive oil.
serves 18
